Regional Cancer Centre Trivandrum is an autonomous health care institution catering to cancer care. Yesterday the announcement of the selection of a new full-time Director for RCC came. Dr Rekha A Nair gets the coveted post. She is the first female Director and comes to the post with 30 years of experience. She is an internationally known Pathologist with several publications in international and national indexed journals. She joined Trivandrum Medical College in 1979, graduated in 1984 and obtained MD Pathology from TMC in 1989. Later she trained in Leeds University UK and American National Cancer Institute for determination of blood cancers. We are proud to have our alumnus and TMC 79 member as the new Director of this prestigious institute.
