Book Review by Dr. Padmakumar, Former Professor of Plastic Surgery - 23rd May 2024 5.30 pm

On 9th May 2024, the Knowledge Centre hosted an event titled "How can we realize the potential of physical activity for mental health and other NCDs?" jointly organized by KUHS School of Public Health, the Indian Psychiatry Society Kerala Chapter, and TMCAA. The event featured an invited lecture by Dr. Simon Rosenbaum, Scientia Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, who discussed the significant role of physical activity in managing mental health and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The programme included a welcome address by Dr. K.

The Medico Literary Academy of the Trivandrum Medical College Alumni Association is set to hold a book review session which is chaired by Dr. Sundaresan. The event will feature the distinguished Dr. M.V. Pillai, who is well-regarded both in the medical field as an oncologist and in literary circles as a litterateur.

The session is scheduled on 25th April, 2024 at Knowledge Center, Medical College, Trivandrum

The Trivandrum Medical College Alumni Association and the Dr. V C Mathew Roy Foundation successfully organized an enriching event titled "Day for Geriatrics" dedicated to advancing the field of geriatric care in Kerala. The Casualty block of the Trivandrum Medical College has been revamped to a state of art set up that has a standardized emergency and accident care facility. The Trivandrum Medical College Alumni Association contributed by helping set up a garden in the front of the casualty block. Dr. John Panicker, President of TMCAA, and Dr. Viswanath Kollengode, Secretary of TMCAA has overlooked this grand task beautifully. This accomplishment makes us extremely proud!
